Exciting eco-adventures
The bushrider trail begins near the family villa, built in 1905.
We head off under the old Oak trees and climb the hills until
we can see the ocean. Into the Ti tree tunnel the track turns
to mud. Hold on as we slide sideways and career down the steepest
mudslide.
Past thousand year old Kauri trees and up to the lookout. Views
stretch from the distant Skytower to Great Barrier Island. Native
hawk and wood pidgeon shoot the breeze. We tackle some sharp descents
and fast, sliding turns. Into the forestry and through the stream
brings us home.
